Sean Michael Spicer has lied to the American people,Ashley Lopez Archives again.
On July 24, 2018, Donald Trump's former White House Press Secretary assured Fox Newscontributor Katie Pavlich that he would not be going on Dancing with the Stars because, well, he can't dance!
"Everybody wants to know if you are going to be on Dancing with the Stars. This is a yes or no question," Pavlich said to Spicer at his 2018 book party. "It's no. Zero on the rhythm. I wouldn't do that to viewers," Spicer replied.

Spicer sounded pretty confident back then, right? Right! But On Wednesday morning, Good Morning Americaannounced the reality show's 2019 contestants, which include Spicer, Queer Eye'sKaramo Brown, The Bachleorette'sHannah Brown, The Officestar Kate Flannery, and more.

For those who need a refresher, Sean Spicer is the guy who fought with Dippin' Dots on Twitter, admitted to swallowing gum, reportedly stole a mini fridge, and hid from reporters"among" some bushes. More crucially, he was a political aide who claimed Hitler didn't use chemical weapons and repeatedly lied about crowd size for the president.
Good Morning Americaalso tweeted a profoundly unfunny clip of host Tom Bergeron joking that Spicer would be in charge of assessing audience size on the show. Making light of Spicer's controversial role in the Trump administration wasn't funny on the 2017 Emmy Awards and it certainly isn't funny now. After a great deal of backlash, GMAdeleted the tweet.
While Americans love some good reality television, they were definitely not feeling ABC's decision to welcome Spicer on the show or GMA's lighthearted jokes.

In response to the backlash, Bergeron released a statement on Twitter saying that a few months ago he made it known to the Executive Producer that he wanted the show to be "a joyful respite from our exhausting political climate and free of inevitably divisive bookings from ANY party affiliations."
Bergeron says he was under the impression that would be the case, but "a decision was made to, as we often say in Hollywood, 'go in a different direction.'"
"We can agree to disagree, as we do not, but ultimately it's their call," Bergeron said.

In 2017, Spicer reportedly turned down Dancing with the Starsbecause he was too busy. In 2018, he turned it down because he was a bad dancer. But in 2019? Welp, he must have so little going on in his life that he finally agreed.

Confronted with the lie after Pavlich called out Spicer on Twitter, he once again tried to spin it by saying he has no rhythm.
