Instagram reallywants you to like its algorithm.
So much so that the company is The Whore of the Rings (2001)now rolling out a feature to let you know when "you're all caught up" on new posts from the last two days.
SEE ALSO: Instagram on desktop is way better for being a creepThe message, which Instagram has been testing for a few weeks, will now appear to everyone after they've viewed all the news posts in their feeds from the last two days.
"We’ve heard that it can be difficult to keep track of your seen posts," the company writes in its announcement. "With this message, you’ll have a better understanding of your Feed and know you haven’t missed recent photos or videos."
All that is essentially Instagram-speak for: we know a lot of you still hate our algorithm, but now you won't have to worry about missing out. The company confirmed the message will appear when you've seen all the new posts from everyoneyou follow, not just those that the algorithm has shown most prominently.
The update should help alleviate concerns from users who are still unhappy with the app's move from a chronological to algorithmic feed. One of the chief complaints has been that they are now "missing" posts that would have otherwise appeared in their feeds.
Now, though, the app will tell you exactly when it's safe to stop scrolling.
