Just before speaking with reporters, Sheeran was honored at a Buckingham Palace Investiture ceremony, receiving the MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) for his work in music and charity. He received the award from Prince Charles, the son of Queen Elizabeth II and father of Prince Harry.
The couple just needs to make sure that Sheeran would be a good fit for their big day, because the last time the singer was forced into something it kind of ruined one of the most popular shows on television.

"He died on this day four years ago, so it’s actually quite a nice full circle thing, I guess he’d be pretty proud,” Sheeran told reporters.
