Uber is Watch The Silencing Onlinein a reputation crisis thanks to its toxic workplace culture for women and the #DeleteUber campaign that's been running for months.
The company has outwardly been working hard to get over all that, but a recent employee outing has us scratching our heads.
Twenty or so Uber employees (mostly men) were treated to a graffiti workshop in San Francisco where they helped create a custom mural with the word "#Undelete" on a wall.
Yes, "#Undelete."

The artwork was created with 1AM, a street art group representing freedom of speech through exhibitions, public art, and experiences.
From time to time it runs workshops with tech companies, something "great for large groups that want to experience the process of creating a giant mural together along with learning the history of graffiti and street art," according to 1AM's website.
Photographs of the workshop were posted on Apr. 10. It's worth noting the mural itself appears to not have been painted by Uber employees, but by an actual graffiti artist, according a progress video on Instagram. But other photos show Uber employees helping to prep for the mural and posing in front of it.

If only Uber's HR training could teach that "#Undelete" completely misses the point, and that, really the word should be "reinstall" -- if Uber even wanted to go down that path, which it shouldn't (just some free advice).
It's unclear who suggested #Undelete and whether it's an actual campaign, but we've reached out to Uber for comment.
