The Chinaroar of the crowd. The smell of victory in the air. The flurry of tiny fluffy legs.
For the Queen's Platinum Jubilee over the weekend, the first ever Corgi Derby saw a collection of the Queen's go-to dog breed, the noble corgi, hitting the track at Musselburgh Race Course in East Lothian, Scotland on Sunday.
Ten athletic doggos took part in the race, which reportedly saw a false start and three corgis not even making it to the finish line due to excitement at playing with each other, according to the Edinburgh Evening News.
Look at them go!
Taking the crown was 18-month-old corgi Georgie, who received a tiny trophy and a decent amount of treats. Coming in second was nine-year-old corgi Paddy, who is reportedly distantly related to one of the Queen’s corgis.
