Disney+'s Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Againis an animated sequel to 2014's Secret of the Tomb.
The original franchise, which was led by Ben Stiller as beleaguered night watchman Larry Daley, finds new footing in a 2D tale all about his adult son Nick and his after-hours adventures with Sacagawea, Octavius, Jedediah, and Teddy Roosevelt, not to mention my personal favorite, Rexy the T-Rex skeleton. So if you're ready to return to the American Museum of Natural History for more mischief, here's everything you need to know.
The film is streaming exclusively on Disney+ starting Dec. 9.
Nick Daley (voiced by Joshua Bassett) is reluctantly spending his summer as the Museum of Natural History's new night guard. Nick grew up with the Museum's ragtag gang, who are all more like friends of the family than pivotal figures from history. Unfortunately, a familiar foe also lurks in the Museum, and he's ready to make Nick's summer gig a nightmare. Kahmunrah, who was foiled in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, has managed to escape — and he's got even bigger plans to take over the world.
It's up to Nick and his ragtag team of cavemen, miniature figurines, and Joan of Arc to save the day. Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Againalso features voice acting from Joseph Kamal, Jamie Demetriou, Alice Isaaz, Gillian Jacobs, Thomas Lennon, Zachary Levi, Akmal Saleh, Kieran Sequoia, Jack Whitehall, Bowen Yang, and Steve Zahn.
