Gadot revealed in a candid conversation on vr sex videoThe Hollywood Reporter's "Awards Chatter" podcast that she lost a lot of roles over the years simply because she wasn't famous enough for producers to think she'd carry the film -- including Mad Max: Fury Road. A Wonder Woman later, and now she's one of the biggest names around.

"I did a bunch of camera tests that were like...I can't tell you how many times I heard 'Once you do it, it's gonna change your life!'" she added.
In one case, the big name was Charlize Theron, and the part was Furiosa in the Oscar-nominated Mad Max: Fury Road. Gadot was "runner-up."
Though she bears Theron no ill will, losing the part was a major blow for Gadot.
"It just came to a point where I was like, 'I don't want to do this to my family. If it's not going to work, why push it?'" said Gadot, who was ready to call it quits and move back to Israel when she got the fateful secret audition from Warner Bros. for Batman v. Superman.
As amazing as it would have been to see Gadot unleash herself as Furiosa, she had the perfect combination of tenacity and warmth to play Wonder Woman in BvSand this year's standalone blockbuster. She and Theron both worked with Patty Jenkins and are pretty much crushing it as action stars, so we're going to go ahead and say things worked out for the best.
