It’s the final hours of Amazon’s Spring Sale, and the clock is ticking down on deals I didn’t know I needed until 10 minutes ago. Case in point: the ELEGOO Tumbller robot kit. It’s a self-balancing, LED-blinking, obstacle-dodging STEM toy that’s somehow only $55.99 (down from $84.99), and I’m seriously considering buying one just to justify my Prime membership.

This thing isn’t just cute, it’s clever. You can even control it via an app, so naturally, your phone becomes a robot remote. I don’t know about you, but that’s enough to make me ignore whatever adult responsibilities I had planned today.

In my opinion, the best part is that it’s Arduino-compatible. That means you can hack it, recode it, and add sensors to make it do more tricks. It’s a great way to sneak programming into a fun weekend project — ideal if you're trying to trick a kid into learning something or just want to flex some DIY skills without committing to a full-blown drone.
