Stator scooters know how to go big when it comes to tires.
After the California-based company's giant,Watch Class of Lies Online self-balancing electric scooter concept went viral a few years ago, the company actually managed to bring the vehicle to market now, albeit in limited numbers as only 500 scooters will initially be available.
It looks more realistic (and less severe) than the head-turning idea originally tested, which had wheels practically as tall as a toddler. But it's still a different enough design than most e-scooters you can currently rent.
On Monday, pre-orders went live for the $3,995 scooter. The first 500 of these all-electric scooters are supposed to arrive at U.S. customers' doors later this year after placing a $250 deposit.
For all that dough, you'll be the proud owner of a sleek all-electric machine with bladed wheels, "military-grade" tires, and a hand-controlled throttle that lets you reach up to 30 mph. You'll want to stick to riding on private land since most city streets won't let an e-scooter rider go that fast. But since it's electric, you can stealthily and quietly zoom past traffic. Just saying...
If you're plowing full-speed ahead, the scooter's battery will last for an hour. For more conservative riders, you can get 80 miles out of a fully charged battery. To recharge, simply plug the two-wheeler into a wall outlet and four hours later it'll be juiced up.

But with tires like that, we're only going off-roading.
