Comedian Jono Zalay and his family have a long-standing tradition of dressing up as wacky characters in their driver's license photos. It was started by his father in the 70s, and they've racked up quite a long string of hilarious pics.

As you can see, they take their art very seriously. And this year, Zalay went all out, even getting his hair cut and died for his new California license photo.

Zalay said his only regret is that the picture person at the DMV wouldn't let him do a snarl for the photo. A real missed opportunity.
