Netflix has found a star for its upcoming Carmen Sandiego movie: Gina Rodriguez.
Rodriguez will be Vulga Sistersstarring as Carmen Sandiego in the upcoming live-action movie, The Hollywood Reporterwrote Monday, in addition to her role as the voice of the red-clad thief in Netflix's upcoming animated Carmen Sandiego series.

On top of her two starring roles, Rodriguez will also be producing the live-action movie.
According to Deadline, the Carmen Sandiegofeature will be a standalone adventure. If it's anything like the TV show, video games, and books that came before it in the '80s, '90s, and aughts, there will likely be a lot of mystery and a whole lot of traveling.
Along with the live-action movie, which has yet to sign a director or writer, and the animated series, the current owners of the Carmen Sandiego brand Houghton Mifflin Harcourt will also publish a series of books as a sort of reboot of the franchise.
