Great news,Girls in the Night Traffic Samsung fans -- you might not have to deal with red-tinted phone screens forever. 🙄
In response to complaints from early Galaxy S8 owners who claimed their device screens looked red in color, Samsung plans to eliminate the issue with a software upgrade.
SEE ALSO: Early Samsung Galaxy S8 owners are seeing red ... screens, that is"Because there are some complaints about the red-tinted screens, we decided to upgrade the software next week for all Galaxy S8 clients," a Samsung spokesperson told The Korea Herald on Friday.
ZDNetreported the display issue earlier this month after several customers who pre-ordered the phones in South Korea began posting photographs and complaints to social media sites.
After "Galaxy S8 Red Screen" began trending on the county's largest search engine, Naver, Samsung released a statement to ZDNet, claiming the issue could be manually fixed using the following sequence of actions: Settings > Display > Screen Mode > Color Balance.
Despite the instructions, the quick fix the didn't work for everyone, and as the company desperately works to try to put the negative reviews of the failed Note7 behind it, the tint complaints are being addressed head on.

The upgrade next week is supposed to further expand the S8's color range, thus allowing users to make the red color even lower than they're able to currently.
Though Samsung seems to be taking action with the update, the company isn't ready to blame the S8 devices for the issue yet -- which makes perfect sense, right? The Korea Herald reported that Samsung said, "We will upgrade the software because of some dissatisfied customers although there is no problem in the phone itself."
Oh, Samsung. Best of luck.
